THE BEGINNING

Two years ago, the Bali brothers, Akaash and Rohit, pitched an idea to a panel of judges at Light Up A Future 2013. This idea became Young Investor Program Canada, a program tailored towards high school students, grades 10-12, to learn about personal financial literacy and various types of investments applicable to their age group. This Program’s mission is to empower youth to develop better money management skills and spending habits in order to become our nation’s investors of tomorrow.

FORGE NEW FRIENDSHIPS

The Young Investor Program provides a platform for you to meet like-minded peers in both a classroom, and team-based setting. Each delegate will be placed in a team for the duration of the program where they will compete in various competitions throughout the program. Successful business ventures have also resulted from friendships forged at Young Investor Program!

APPLY WHAT YOU LEARN

Each Young Investor Program workshop will have an interactive, hands-on component where delegates can apply the lesson learned that day. In teams, delegates will also compete in our annual Case Competition and our Portfolio Pitch Competition, where each team will invest $1,000,000 in a simulator for the duration of the program.

NETWORK WITH BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS

Young Investor Program workshops are given by  business professionals who have kindly dedicated their time to helping us improve financial literacy across Canada. Our Business Career Explorations workshop will also give delegates a change to learn more about future career options by speaking to people currently working in the industry.
